'The Friends of the RSPCA South Godstone Animal Centre', sometimes referred to as 'The Friends Group' or simply 'Friends' for short, was formally registered as a charity on 5th July 2005. The purpose of 'Friends' is to raise funds and receive contributions to enable us to provide both financial and practical assistance to the RSPCA Animal Centre based at South Godstone in Surrey. Donations to 'Friends' only go to support the South Godstone Animal Centre and not to the wider RSPCA organisation. This ensures that donations, mostly given locally, go directly and quickly to help support your local Animal Centre.

The Charity is managed by an Executive Committee comprising 9 elected Trustees who meet at the Animal Centre a minimum of 6 times a year to agree strategy and policy for fund-raising events and the allocation of donations.

Our main source of income is through our Charity Shop based in Caterham, Surrey where we currently have a full-time manager and over 27 part-time volunteers.

You can support us by becoming a Member of 'Friends', making a donation or by becoming one of the many volunteers needed each year to help with the highly popular annual Fun Gala Day and other events.

Please note that the Friends Group only provides charitable aid to support the Animal Centre, it cannot answer questions on animal welfare or rehoming.
